Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. Salvation means we are set free from the bondage of sin while at the same time we are given forgiveness for our sins by God's grace. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. Faith is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and commitment of the entire personality to Him as Lord and Saviour.
How To Be Saved
(1) Recognize you are a sinner in need of forgiveness.
(2) Realize the wages of sin is eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23)
(3) Realize because you are a sinner, Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, died for you. (Romans 5:8)
(4) Recognize that you cannot achieve forgiveness through any means other than Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:12)
(5) Repent of your sins and by faith ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and saveyou from eternal punishment in hell. (Romans 10:9-10)
(6) Rest assured that He will receive you. (Romans 10:13)
Salvation also means we are justified (declared "not guilty") because our sins are forgiven.
It also means we are sanctified. That is, we are called to serve the Lord, and not Satan.
The Bible plainly teaches that once we are saved, we cannot lose out salvation. (John 10:29; Romans 8:38-39)
It also reminds us that we need to put our salvation to work in our lives. (Philippians 2:12)
